Haraya Foundation exists to advance public understanding, access, and responsible use of emerging technologies.
Through education, research, partnerships, and community-focused programmes, we aim to bridge the digital divide, support technological upskilling, and promote the practical use of AI and cybernetic innovation for social benefit in the Philippines and Southeast Asia (SEA).

Haraya was created with a simple purpose: to help people and communities adapt, grow, and take part in the opportunities of the future.
As artificial intelligence, automation, and cybernetic technologies become more deeply integrated into society, we believe it is important that these changes are guided by education, responsibility, and human understanding. Technology should not leave people behind; it should help create new pathways for learning, inclusion, and long-term development.
Our aim is to build a foundation that works with warmth, professionalism, and clear purpose: connecting people, institutions, and resources in ways that create lasting social value.
Ronald "Ronnie" Bainborough
CEO & Co-Founder
Ronald is a co-founder of Haraya. After graduating from the University of Oxford, Ronald joined the British military, serving for six years across the Middle East. After leaving the military, he began a diplomatic career with the British Government.
Ronald later spent six years in China, where he earned a master’s degree in Chinese Language from Tsinghua University, before moving to Thailand, where he currently resides.
His professional background spans Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic analysis, operational coordination, and advising senior stakeholders. He is a native English speaker and speaks fluent Mandarin. In his free time, Ronald is learning Thai and Tagalog and is an avid arm-wrestling enthusiast.
